05 May 2010 – The Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) receives a very special visit from Japan Patent Office (JPO) which was under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan.

JPO visit to MyIPO was a part of a learning tour and to discuss the initiatives and projects that Malaysia has taken part in international levels. The visit is also a platform for both IP offices to discuss more on the current issues in IP and how MyIPO managing those issues.

The delegation from JPO was led by His Excellency Mr. Tetsuhiro Hosono – Commissioner of Japan Patent Office, followed by Mr. Satoshi Moriyasu – Director of International Affairs Division, Mr. Akiyoshi Imaura – Deputy Director of International Affairs Division, Mr. Michitaka Ohata – Director of IP Department, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Thailand, Mr. Taichi Noda – Commercial Attaché Embassy of Japan in Malaysia and Ms. Yoko Mettler.
