Aug 3 – Malaysia have been selected to host the ASEAN IP Management and Technology Commercialization which was held at the Renaissance Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The four-day event will be starting from 3^rd – 6^th August 2010.

The workshop is organized by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in collaboration with the ASEAN Working Group on Intellectual Property Cooperation (AWGIPC) and United States Patents and Trademarks Office (USPTO).

The purpose of this workshop is to expose participants on technology transfer policy, intellectual property management and technology commercialization. Participants also have the opportunity to share and exchange information in formulating policy on technology transfer and intellectual property management, as well as to learn and practice the correct way of managing a research center in the public and private higher learning institutions.
