COURTESY CALL FROM OFFICIALS OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY DEPARTMENT, SULTANATE OF OMAN

28 March 2011 – Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) has received a courtesy call from Officials of Intellectual Property Department, Sultanate of Oman. The delegation was headed by Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Salem AL-SAIDI, Deputy Director of the Intellectual Property Department and Head of Industrial Property Section and joined by Mr. Juma Mohammed Salim Almalki, Head of Commercial Cooperation Section.

The honoured guests were welcomed by Y.Bhg.Dato’ Azizan Mohamad Sidin, Director General of MyIPO and Heads of Department.

A detailed explanation of the copyright was presented by Mrs. Siti Salwa Haji Ghazali, Head of Copyright and Layout Designs of Integrated Circuits Division  to the honoured guests and this was later followed by an official tour around MyIPO office.

At the end of the visit, the honoured guests expressed their admiration toward administration and legislation of copyright in Malaysia.
