16 March 2011 – Mr. Yoshiyuki Takagi, Assistant Director General of Global Infrastructure Sector of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), has undertook his first official visit to Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) at Menara UOA Bangsar.

During the nearly 4-hour-visit, Mr.Takagi gave a brief presentation on WIPO Strategy and Programs on IP Infrastructure and IP Information Services for IP stakeholders. There was also a discussion on bilateral consultations with MyIPO on matters of common interest.

The visit has also undertook a tour of the MyIPO patent examination units to ascertain the needs and expectations of MyIPO, with a view to enhancing international cooperation in the field of patent examination.
