NATIONAL IP DAY 2011 CELEBRATION
   

26 April 2011 - National Intellectual Property Day 2011 held at Persada Johor International Convention Centre, Johor attended by a total of 1100 invited guests. YB Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob, Minister of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism has officiated the event besides launched the first edition of MyIP Bulletin, a periodical publication on every April and October with free distribution.

This year, Les Copaque Production Sdn Bhd won the National Intellectual Property Award 2011 under the Organization Category and received RM30, 000, trophies from World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) together with a certificate of participation.

The Young Inventors Category won by Sekolah Menengah Vokasional Slim River, Perak, which received RM10,000, trophies from WIPO and MyIPO together with a certificate of participation.

In addition, MyIPO also hosted a seminar with the concept of success story that was shared by successful entrepreneurs. Other than that, Intellectual Property gallery exhibition has received an overwhelming participation of 33 exhibitors.
