WIPO SUB-REGIONAL WORKSHOP ON UTILIZATION OF PATENT EXAMINATION RESULTS
29 November 2011- MyIPO has organized a sub-regional workshop on Utilization of Patent Examination Results which is a joint effort between World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and Japan Patent Office (JPO) at Intellectual Property Training Centre, Menara UOA Bangsar from 29 November to 1 December 2011. This workshop has received participation of 34 patent examiners from Malaysia and the Asia Pacific region.
This 3-days workshop provides participants with opportunity to understand the advantages of sharing patent search and examination reports prepared by other Intellectual Property Offices. It also helps participants to develop skills to utilize services such as International Cooperation on Examination (ICE) by WIPO and the Advanced Industrial Property Network (AIPN) by the JPO.
Furthermore, this workshop also provides a platform for participants to share experiences and exchange best practices among various IPOs and examiners to accelerate examination processes and increase quality of patents.
