8 December 2011- Director General of MyIPO, YBhg. Dato’ Azizan Mohamad Sidin received a courtesy call by Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation’s delegation. Led by the Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Dr Mohd Nazlee Kamal, the delegation also included Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning, Mr.Yazid Abd Hamid, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Government Liaison, Mr.Adrian Abdul Ghani, Senior Manager of CEO’s Office, Mrs.Rossuraya Abdullah, Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs Mrs.Haniza Anom Hashim, Manager of Regulatory Affairs Dr. Cheong Weng Chung and Manager of Regulatory Affairs, Mrs.Maria Alina Ahmad.
During the courtesy call, members of delegation were considering a potential joint programme between MyIPO and BioTechCorp. The joint programme aims to educate the importance of IP protection to entrepreneurs.
Meanwhile, YBhg Dato’ Azizan also highlighted on the Patent Drafting Workshop in Biotechnology field which is expected to be organized next year while suggesting to have a calendar of programmes that are potentially to collaborate with BioTechCorp.
This was later followed by a dialogue session with the trainees of Biotechnology Entrepreneurship Special Training (BEST) Programme and a tour to the Intellectual Property Library and Public Search Facilities.
