14 December 2011 – MyIPO in cooperation with Malaysian Development Corporation (MDeC) and Association of Islamic Banking Institution Malaysia (AIBIM) organized a Tea Talk On Intellectual Property Valuation at Intellectual Property Training Centre, Menara UOA, Bangsar.
The tea talk provides participants with opportunity to develop better understanding and acceptance of the long-term value of intellectual property. It is also as a platform to enable stakeholders to promote IP as collateral to obtain financing from financial institutions.
MyIPO will take the initiative to develop a framework where intellectual property, a key intangible asset, can be used as collateral to obtain financing from financial institutions.
The tea talk was attended by 40 representatives from 16 local banking institutions.
