9 January 2012 - Monthly assembly for January 2012 organized by Administration and Human Resource Division was held at the IPTC Hall, Menara UOA Bangsar.
In the new year speech by YBhg Dato’ Azizan Mohamad Sidin, Director General of MyIPO, a new guiding principle was introduced that is ‘Enjoy Your Work’ which emphasized on being passionate about work in order to increase productivity and job satisfaction.
He also announced 2012 as a year of Copyright. This is in line with the Copyright Act 1987 (Amendment 2010) that has been passed by the House of Senate on 21 December 2011. MyIPO will implement Copyright Voluntary Notification by third quarter of this year and massively organize seminars, road shows and talks to stakeholders on the Copyright Act 1987 (Amendment 2010).
YBhg Dato’ Azizan also hope that the Utility Innovation Without Examination can be introduced in order to promote innovation among graduates, entrepreneurs and SMEs besides introducing Competition on Innovation among MyIPO’s staff. Meanwhile, MyIPO has set up an Education Fund for staff to pursue their studies in relevant fields, New Remuneration Scheme and Health Insurance that shall come in force this year.

Also held was prize giving ceremony to the winner of ‘Pertandingan Menamakan Tajuk Lagu Rasmi MyIPO’, Mr.Syaiful Adha bin Supian from Patent Division. Tn.Hj.Mohd Shahar bin Osman, Deputy Director General (Corporate), has officially announced ‘Bersama MyIPO’ as MyIPO’s official song title. Besides, a contribution in form of cash was given to the staff’s children who have obtained 8As and above in PMR.
At the end of the ceremony, a birthday celebration was held for MyIPO’s staff who were born in January.
