31 January 2012- A group of 30 students from the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Selangor (UNISEL) accompanied by 10 lecturers made a visit to MyIPO.
The study visit aimed to expose the students to intellectual property (IP) legislations and system in Malaysia, which help them to gain better understanding about intellectual property rights.
The-3-hour programme was chaired by Mr Zulkarnain Muhammad, Senior Director of Patent Division began with a detailed presentation on The Roles and Functions of MyIPO “Issues and Challenges” presented by Mrs Norsita Ismail, Senior Patent Examiner and followed by a presentation on IP System in Malaysia by Hajah Azlina Abdul Hamid, Patent Examiner.

The students were accompanied for a tour to the Intellectual Property Library and Public Search Facilities Room.
