YBRS. TUAN ASMAALIFF BIN ABDUL ADAM

YBrs. Tuan Asmaaliff bin Abdul Adam was appointed as a Board Member of the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) on April 1, 2023.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Revelation Science from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2017.
He started his career as a book publisher at Pustaka Darul Iman Enterprise in 2012. He continued his career as a Manager at a vehicle service company and as an Officer for the People’s Initiative (IPR).

YBRS. TUAN ZULKHAIRIL AMAR BIN MOHAMAD

YBrs. Tuan Zulkhairil Amar bin Mohamad was appointed as a Board Member of the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) on 26 July 2024.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2011.
He joined the public service in April 2001 as an Administrative and Diplomatic Officer (PTD).
He served in the Remuneration Division of the Public Service Department until May 2009.
He later served at the Ministry of Finance and is currently the Deputy Director-General of National Budget for the General Services Sector at the National Budget Office.

YBRS. TUAN BONIFACE ANAK EDWIN MANUNG

YBrs. Tuan Boniface Anak Edwin Manung was appointed as a Board Member of the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) on 25 December 2023.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UKM) in 2007.
He commenced his career as Assistant Director at Malaysian Administrative Modernization and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU), Prime Minister’s Department in 1993.

He currently serves as Secretary of Technology Transfer and R&D Commercialization, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

YBRS. TS. TUAN FAUZI BIN ABDULLAH

YBrs. Ts. Tuan Fauzi bin Abdullah was appointed as a Board Member of the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) on 25 December 2023.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Technical Education (Instructional Design and Technology) from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) in 2014.
He started his career as Assistant Teacher in 1990 and currently serves as the Deputy Director, TVET Planning, Research and Development Sector, Vocational Technical Education and Training Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia.

YBHG. DATO’ HAJI AMRAN BIN HAJI AHMAD

YBhg. Dato’ Haji Amran bin Haji Ahmad was appointed as a Board Member of the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) on 1 January 2025.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology and Sociology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 1993.
He is currently the Deputy Secretary-General (Consumer Empowerment) at the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living.
YBhg. Dato’ Haji Amran began his public service career in 1994 as an Administrative and Diplomatic Officer in the Foreign Affairs Division of the Ministry of Education Malaysia.
He previously served as the Director of the Sabah National Anti-Drug Agency and the Director of Immigration for the State of Selangor.
He also held the position of Deputy Director-General of the Management and Legal Development Sector at the Department of Director General of Lands and Mines (JKPTG) before being appointed as Deputy Secretary-General (Policy and International) at the Ministry of Human Resources in August 2023.

YBRS. TUAN KAMAL BIN KORMIN

YBrs. Tuan Kamal bin Kormin started his career as a patent examiner at the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) in the field of Science in year 1992.
He was then promoted as the Head of Unit in year 1998 and later became the Head of Patent Science & Traditional Knowledge Division in 2014.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in year 1989 from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia.
In July 2015, he was promoted as the Senior Director of Patent Science & Traditional Knowledge Division of MyIPO.
In 2020, he was promoted as an Assistant Director General (Technical, Science & Technology) of MyIPO.
From January 2022 he holds the position of Deputy Director General (Strategic & Technical).
YBrs. Tuan Kamal bin Kormin was appointed as Director General of Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) on 1st July 2023.

YBHG. PROF. MADYA DATUK TS. DR. RAMZAH DAMBUL

YBhg. Associate Professor Datuk Ts. Dr. Ramzah bin Dambul was appointed as a Board Member of the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) on 8 May 2025. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Geography from the University of Malaya (UM), obtained in 1994, followed by a Master of Arts degree in Physical Geography from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2000. He later pursued his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Synoptic Climatology from the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom in 2007.
He is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Development Studies (Sabah) on secondment, while also holding the position of Associate Professor in the Geography Programme, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). In recognition of his contributions to society and the academic field, YBhg. Associate Professor Datuk Ts. Dr. Ramzah was honoured as the Ranau District Maulidur Rasul Figure in 2024.

YBRS. PUAN YUSNIEZA SYARMILA YUSOFF

YBrs. Puan Yusnieza Syarmila Yusoff was appointed as a Board Member of the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) on 15th August 2025. She received her degree in Business Economics from Leicester University, United Kingdom. She also holds a Master degree in Economics from the University of Malaya.
She started her career in 2001 as a Trademark Examiner at the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO). Demonstrating exceptional competence and leadership, she was promoted to the role of Director of the MyIPO Sabah Branch in 2005. In 2015, she advanced to the position of Deputy Director in the Policy and International Affairs Division.
Her career trajectory at MyIPO continued to rise as she was appointed Director of the Policy and International Affairs Division in May 2017. She was subsequently promoted to Senior Director of the same division in 2018. In September 2022, she was appointed Assistant Director General (Administration and Finance), a position she held until 2023. Serving MyIPO for over 20 years with extensive experience in the field of intellectual property, YBrs. Puan Yusnieza Syarmila has played an instrumental role in Malaysia’s participation in numerous Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations, particularly in shaping the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) chapters. Her involvement has been pivotal in ensuring that Malaysia’s IP policies and interests are effectively represented and safeguarded in accordance with international standards and national priorities.
YBrs. Puan Yusnieza Syarmila serves as the Deputy Director General (Strategic & Technical) in July 2023, where she oversees key strategic and technical initiatives to strengthen intellectual property protection and management in Malaysia. She has held the position of the Director General of MyIPO from 15th August 2025 till now.

YBHG. DATO' HAJI MOHD NOR HISHAM HAJI MOHD NORDIN

YBhg. Dato' Haji Mohd Nor Hisham bin Haji Mohd Nordin was appointed as a Board Member of the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) on 1 April 2025. He holds a Master of Science in Economic Crime Management from Help University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In 2003, he began his career in the public sector as a Special Duties Officer (Parliament) to the Minister of Education, before being appointed as a Special Officer (KPI) in the Prime Minister’s Department in 2009. He later led the Corruption NKRA Lab for eight weeks involving various government agencies and was subsequently appointed as Director of the Corruption NKRA Unit, which was eventually placed under the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). In this role, he ensured the smooth implementation of anti-corruption initiatives in collaboration with MACC and reported progress monthly to the Delivery Task Force (DTF) chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister. Following the 13th General Election, a ministerial portfolio for Governance and Integrity was established.
