2. MyIPO, EUROPEAN PATENT OFFICE AND JAPAN PATENT OFFICE SIGN MoU TO PURSUE COLLABORATION ON IP SYSTEMS AND PRACTICES

18 October 2016 – Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) has received a courtesy call from Official of Intellectual Property Office, Solomon Island. The IP Office was represented by Mr. Nixon Qurusu, Deputy Registrar General, Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, Solomon Island.
The honoured guest was welcomed by Mr. Abdul Aziz Ismail, Deputy Director General of MyIPO, Mr. Zulkarnain Muhammad, Assistant Director General of MyIPO and Mr. Noor Mohamad Hazman bin Hamid, Senior Executive of Policy and International Affairs.
Mr. Nixon Qurusu informed that the IP Office of Solomon Island is planning to implement IP registration and they are keen to learn about the IP management system in Malaysia. Mr. Abdul Aziz has also shared a brief history of the establishment of MyIPO as well as the IP management system in Malaysia. It was followed by an official tour to MyIPO’s public search room and customer service counter.
