COURTESY VISIT BY THE OFFICE OF THE UNITED STATES TRADE REPRESENTATIVE

20 September 2016 – MyIPO received a courtesy visit from The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), represented by Mr. Probir Mehta, Assistant of USTR for Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights, and accompanied by Mr. Clayton Hays, Deputy Economic Counselor from U.S. Embassy of Kuala Lumpur.

The one-hour meeting have discussed various matters including the update on IP Acts amendments pertaining to Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) as well as potential areas of cooperation between United States and Malaysia.

USTR is responsible for developing and coordinating U.S. international trade, commodity, and direct investment policy, and overseeing negotiations with other countries.
