GLOBAL INNOVATION INDEX CONFERENCE 2017


3 May 2017- The Global Innovation Index Conference serves as a platform for us to understand better on the factors and indicators used in GII that will enable us to strategize our work plan to strengthen innovation system and to achieve a better rank in the years to come.

The GII 2016 findings suggest that a new corporate innovation culture build around novel partnership and innovation platforms has significant potential to drive long-term sustainable economic growth. In 2016, Malaysia ranks 35th in the Global Innovation Index from 128 economies. Malaysia has moved down three places compared to 2015.

The Conference is inspired by Government’s aspiration to enhance innovation as a vital instrument in the national development agenda under the 11th Malaysian Plan to increase nation’s productivity and competitiveness.
