MADRID PROTOCOL EXPERT TEAM ASSESSMENT MISSION
13 November 2017 – The Madrid Protocol Assessment Mission aimed to learn the examination system and legal framework in Malaysia in which was led by Mrs Debbie Roenning, Director of Madrid Legal Division of WIPO and Mr Roger Holberton, Head of IT Division of WIPO.
The three-day session consist of an assessment of the existing situation during which WIPO will identify areas of activity that will need to be considered – and possible gaps that would need to be addressed – prior to the deposit of an instrument of accession to the Madrid Protocol.
The assessment mission was joined by representatives from Attorney General Chambers of Malaysia, MyIPO, and Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism.
