YBRS. TUAN KAMAL BIN KORMIN

YBrs. Tuan Kamal bin Kormin started his career as a patent examiner at the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) in the field of Science in year 1992. He was then promoted as the Head of Unit in year 1998 and later became the Head of Patent Science & Traditional Knowledge Division in 2014.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in year 1989 from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia.

In July 2015, he was promoted as the Senior Director of Patent Science & Traditional Knowledge Division of MyIPO. In 2020, he was promoted as an Assistant Director General (Technical, Science & Technology) of MyIPO. From January 2022 he holds the position of Deputy Director General (Strategic & Technical).

YBrs. Tuan Kamal bin Kormin was appointed as Director General of Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) on 1st July 2023.
