NATIONAL INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AWARD CEREMONY 2026

Petaling Jaya, 30 April 2026 – The National Intellectual Property Awards 2026 (NIPA 2026) serves as the highest platform of recognition for local creators, innovators, and brands whwho have successfully elevated intellectual property as a strategic national asset.

The ceremony was officiated by the Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), YB Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to strengthening the intellectual property ecosystem as a key driver of national economic growth.

A total of 10 award categories were presented, comprising 6 main categories: Outstanding Intellectual Property Organisation (Best Intellectual Property Management), Innovative Warrior (Patent), InoReka (Industrial Design), Brand Champion (Trademark), Creative Pulse (Copyright), and Little Gem for primary and secondary school students.

In addition, 3 Special Awards were also presented, namely Intellectual Property Empowerment among ministries, departments and government agencies, Commercial Achievement, and Best Intellectual Property Agent. The ceremony also introduced the MADANI Inspiration Award, which recognises athletes, teams and sports organisations that have successfully leveraged intellectual property in advancing the national sports industry, in line with the HHIN 2026 theme.

Also in attendance were YB Senator Datuk Dr. Hajah Fuziah Salleh, Deputy Minister of KPDN; YBhg. Dato’ Seri Mohd Sayuthi bin Bakar, Secretary-General of KPDN; YB Tuan Riduan bin Rubin, Chairman of MyIPO; YBrs. Puan Yusnieza Syarmila binti Yusoff, Director General of MyIPO; as well as senior management of the Ministry and agencies, MyIPO Corporation members, strategic partners of HHIN 2026, and the distinguished award recipients.
